Each Beanie opens a favorite game and adds a new room to your Beanie house.
New Beanies come out every month, but some are harder to find than others. Be sure to check out your local Hallmark or Beanie store and unlock the virtual world today !
Getting Started
Once you've bought a Beanie 2.0, cut a slit in the tag (around the attacher) to open it up. On the right, there should be a grey rectangle with squiggly lines. Take a coin or a pair of scissors and (carefully) scratch off this bar. It will reveal a series of numbers and letters. This code is used when entering your Beanie on www.BeanieBabies20.com.
Registering and Entering
When you have your code go to the Beanie2.0 website and click on "New Member" in the lower right-hand box. This will take you to a scren with three options: New Userr, Returning User, and Ty Girlz User. If you already have a Ty Girlz account, you can click on that an enter your Beanie's code.
If you do not have an account yet, click on "New User." A box should come up and ask for your code. Enter this and then it will take you to a registering questionaire.
Simply fill-out the questions asked. DO NOT enter the Beanie's information (such as birthday and name). This is asking for your info, not your Beanie's!
Once you have this completed it will ask you to go to Beanie Land!
Starting and Playing
The next screen after you've registered is a mini-video. This is one of three videos depending on the Beanie entered. Beanies from the first set will have a blue Ty.com logo zap and animate your Beanie. The second set will either be out in a field or in a labratory. At the end of each video, your Beanie is animated into its online avatar. After this, you go to Beanie Land.
Since it's your first time here, the Mayor Bean will give you a tour upon arrival. You can simply check the box below him that says you do not need his help anymore.
To move your Beanie around, click on the screen once and use your arrow keys to move. Or, you can click on the animated arrow keys in the center of your Beanie dashboard.
Dashboard Controls
On your dashboard you will see four empty lightning bolts to the left and several different icons on the right. The lightning botls are your Beanie's "meters." These show how hungry and hppy you are, along with how many games you've played and how many friends you have.
-To fill up your food meter, go around the Island collecting food beans
-To fill your friend meter, go to the chat rooms and make new friends
-To fill your game meter, play any of the Beanie games
-To fill your family meter, add more Beanies to your beanpod!
On the right side, there should be a picture of the Mayor Beans with a green and red light. If you would like pop-up bubbles to help you move along during the game, click him to make the light green. To turn off the bubbles, make the light red.
Next is your Backpack. This hold all of your beans, stickers, and other items that you win from playing games. Next to that is a picture of a beanpod. This holds all of your different Beanies. To play as one, open your pod and click the Beanie you wish to play as.
The final icon is a compass that opens up your map. You use this to navigate around Beanie Land.
