June 29 2008: Beanie 5K Run/Walk Begins
Today is the day for the Beanie 5K in Westmont, Illinois.
"The 2nd annual Westmont Beanie Baby 5K Run/Walk will be held at beautiful Ty Warner Park, and is sure to be a great event for the entire family. The day will begin with a chip-timed 5K run, followed by a 5K walk, both on a USATF certified course. Race packets will include a technical running shirt and a Ty Beanie Baby for all participants. This is a charity event with proceeds being donated to Village of Westmont Charities."
Info about which Beanie is given out should hopefully present itself sometime today or tomorrow. Since the animal used for the logo is a flamingo, maybe there is a flamingo Beanie with the July set that is being handed out??
June 27 2008: BB2.0 Gardens
You are now able to grow a garden at your BB2.0 house. When you click the "My House" sign you can then click another sign to go to your garden. It has 4 holes where you plant beans from your Bean Bag. You can also use that mysterious watering can no one knew how to use.
June 27 2008: General Store is Now OPEN!!
At long last, the General Store on BB2.0 is open. There are two sections to the store- an actual store and a trading post.
But first, the color of beans changed from red to green and your backpack is now called your Bean Bag.
At the store you can buy a variety of food items such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner foods along with items for your section of the Big Book of Beanies.
In the second half, the Trading Post, you can trade away your unwanted items for beans. Prices (amount of beans) varies for each item:
Stickers (now called treasures), flag borders, and flag patters go for 2 beans each.
Flag poles, patches, wallpapers and fonts sell for 5 beans each.
Crowns sell for 10 beans each.
There are also some that cost a little less or more than the estimated price.

June 25 2008: Mystery at the Lake Solved and July Beanie Preview!!
A new Snootz/BLN video was added to ty.com today, in which Snootz revieled that the Monster and Beanie Lake was infact a dolphin.
In the second half of the video, Fiona Honeypot from the Beanie Land News said that "royalty will be coming to Beanie Land." It then showed a new lion named Midas. It also showed another animal, named Trooper, as his assistant.
Could these three Beanies be in the July Intros? I'll keep you updated!
June 24 2008: Summer and ClownItUp
There's a new Beanie site in town- ClownItUp! You may have seen his previous website, but he has now changed and improved it. Click here to see his website hosted by Weebly. ClownItUp reports on both Beanie and Build a Bear news.
I am also finally on summer break! This means that I will have more time to work on YouTube videos and to focus on Beanie news. What's to come over the summer? Keep watching!

Snootz has made himself at home here at SlothItUp and my YouTube page. Maybe he thinks that since he's getting a new video series he can take over my site?! His new show (which will be on YouTube) is called "Snootz Newz". In it, Snootz will report Beanie news and rumors each week... and maybe even have special guests!

June 2 2008: Halloween Beanies and NESS-e!!
Today Ty introduced 6 Loch Ness Monster Beanies. They include a key-clip, Ty Classic, and Beanie Baby (not 2.0). These are UK exclusives. There is also a second version of each Beanie exclusively sold at the Loch Ness Monster Shop in Scotland. These are the same Beanies but with the store's logo on them.
In HUGE news, Beanwatcher recieved pictures of the new Halloween Introductions!!!!! There is only one BB2.0 but many new styles and re-introductions of old styles. In my opinion, this might be Ty's best introduction this year.
If you want to be surprised by these later when they are officially introduced, don't view the images. But if you're like me and can't wait- go ahead and look!
Also, if you choose to view the Beanies page, notice how there is one BB2.0 and three other non 2.0s...

Sorry for the delay with uploading the June wallpapers and next FOL episode. Since the school year is almost over for me, my teachers are giving me as much schoolwork as possible. I have started working on both projects and should hopefully be finished soon.

May 28 2008: Re-Name and "Adopt" Your BB2.0
A new feature on the Beanie 2.0 website- re-name your Beanies! It has been brought to my attention that when you register a new BB2.0 you are taken to an adoption certificate where you have the choice to rename your Beanie or keep its original name.
It seems that many changes are being made to the BB2.0 site before it's big transformation this summer. Will this all lead up to a better site? We'll have to wait and see!

More changes to the BB2.0 website today. When you go on the website a soccer ball bounces out of Snootz's office inviting you to play.

May 19 2008: Harrods 2008 is a GO!
Allán from BeanieUK has gotten a message conforming that there will be a Harrods Beanie release on October 25, 2008. So now that's another Beanie to look forward too! No word yet if it will be a BB2.0 or a regular Beanie.
May 16 2008: HUGE BB2.0 News!!!
Where to start?! First, if you go to the BB2.0 homepage the colors are more vibrant and the renovations are completed. The Mayor Bean's Office is now Snootz's office. Yes, Snootz is the big red dog that we've seen before.
Second, when you log in to the website the main page is the same as the homepage. Snootz now follows you around wherever you go in Beanie Land. His animation is a little odd, though. The rest of everything is "2 1/2 D" and Snootz is just "2D."
You can now go into Snootz office as well. Inside there is a game you can play. The message before you play says that this summer, ALL BEANIES WILL BE IN 3D. Th game shows Snootz playing a soccer game in 3D.
New games were also added. Scholars' game lets you walk around "Beanie U" and compete in classes. Lefty and Righty's game is called "Patriotic Pals." In this, you give campaign pins to as many Beanies as you can.

May 9 2008: New Music, New Dog, and TreeHouse is Under Construction
On the BB2.0 home page there are several changes. The first major one is that the Treehouse is under renovation. No sign yet of what is going in it. Second, the mysterious red dog that is on the BB2.0 Ty link is now walking along the road to the right.
The BB2.0 site now has music playing in each of the lands. This makes them feel more active and less vacant. There are also arrows in the center of the Beanie Dashboard during gameplay to help users move around.
Side Note: What Ty/Animax is doing with the construction is similar to things that occur on the popular website Club Penguin. When the Stage was being built back in December, the Plaza had cuation tape and cones as well. Maybe Chill walking up to the rope and cones is a little nod to CP?

May 2 2008: Monthly Introductions All Along
Despite reports saying that Ty is only doing quarterly introducions, we've actually still been getting monhtly introductions. For example, January and April were the major introductions. In February and March, there were introductions of two Beanies each. In May, there's an introduction of three Beanies (and a wildcard Ty Classic). So, we've still been getting regular introductions, it's just that the amount in each has changed.

Today Ty introduced Lefty, Righty, and Heartland officially. There is also a new Ty Classic named Patriotic, who is a larger version of the Ty Store bear from last year, Sparklers. Click here for the introduction.

April 29 2008: Welcome Heartland, a New USA Bear
There's a new bear in Beanie Land, and his name is Heartland! He is a red bear with a white nose, and a heart shaped USA flag on his chest. His birthday is July 4 2008. The site does not say whether he is a US exclusive or not. He is not listed anywhere else on the BB2.0 site, but I'm guessing he will be part of the May introductions.
In other Beanie news, Lefty and Righty were added to the Beanie site as well. Lefty's home is in the farm and Righty is in the Range. Their favorite game is called "Patriotic Pals."
April 26 2008: In-hand Lefty and Righty
I bought the two new Lefty and Righty Beanies today at Cracker Barrel ! They are not very bean-filled, but they need a lot of plush to support their body frames.

April 25 2008: Two New YouTube Pages
I have made two new YouTube pages dedicated to Beanies 2.0 and Ty Girlz. They are still "under construction" but you can still view them. They will have only videos dedicated to their individual Tys... and that means there will be new videos coming soon!
April 24 2008: Cubs Dora and In-hand Picture of Lefty and Righty 2008
Cindysbeans has an in-hand pic of the two newest Beanies. They are BB2.0s but are not yet added to either Ty website.
There are also several eBay auctions for a new Chicago Cubs themed Dora Beanie. Dora has a white shirt with the Cubs logo and on the back has "Dora 08".
Leave it to Ty to combine a kids cartoon character and a professional baseball team :)
April 22 2008: Lefty and Righty are Back for 2008!
Reports from Addie's Attic say that there are two new Lefty and Righty Beanies. These are BB2.0s but have not yet been added to the website.
Righty is a red elephant with red stripped ears and blue stars on the pads of his feet and on the end of his trunk. Lefty is a blue donkey with red stripped ears and red stars on its hoofs and end of nose with a white mane down its back.
I haven't found any pictures yet but will definantly post them when I do!
April 21 2008: We've Got Some Exclusives on Our Hands!
Beanwatcher shares that Linny and Tuck (from Nick Jr's "The Wonder Pets") will be available at Barnes and Noble around July 1st. These two will complete the Wonder Pets trio.
Beanwatcher also shares that this year's Hallmark exclusive for Halloween will be a bear names Carvers. This bear is white with pumpkins all over its body and has an orange and black ribbon. His feet read "BOO!" and "2008" in black threads. It is unknown if this is a BB2.0 or a regular Beanie. My guess is that it will be a Beanie Baby 2.0 and will be introduced around August/September.
April 20 2008: "Banana Montana" and Flavor of Love in BB2.0
In Vines' room (for the BB2.0 game), if you click on the giant stone monkey head it turns into a TV. On the TV, "Banana Montana" comes up!
In Topper's room, if you click on the dresser it opens up and shows different things you can put on your neck. One of those things is a clock, which Flavor Flav uses on the show "Flavor of Love."
April 18 2008: We Only Got 4 Minutes to Save the World!
Earth Day is April 22 this year. To celebrate, I've decorated my website and YouTube page for the occasion. The theme I'm going by is called "4 Minutes to save the World!" after the song by Madonna (ft. Justin Timberlake and Timbaland). The whole idea of doing this is to get people thinking about the earth and what we can do to help. I will be posting links on what you can do to help and possibly a special video sometime over the weekend. If there is any Ty news, I will still post it.
April 16 2008: Say "Goodbye" to Your Keys and "Hello" to the Girlz
On the BB2.0 website, you no longer need keys to access any of the games or chat. The keychain was removed from Beanie backpacks and all of the locks were removed. Have fun playing !

Ms Janie shares the names of two upcoming Beanies. The first is this year's Christmas Hallmark exclusives named Gingerspice. The second is the name "Snootz" but has no description. That's four upcoming Beanies so far: Tempest, Nessie 2008 (name still not known), Snootz, and Gingerspice.
April 12 2008: New Videos and Wallpapers !

April 11 2008: More Retirements
Jumps and Pico retired today. This makes four BB2.0 in total that have retired since their introduction. I remember reading somewhere that once a BB2.0 sells-out it's being retired. Does this mean that the BB2.0 are selling well ? Let's hope so !

April 8 2008: New Beans and Pops
PattiBuddy from Ty Talk shares that the new BB2.0 areas now have beans for your beanies to eat. So now all of the areas have beans instead of just the first group.
Animax also added Pops' game to the Jungle Aracade. The music used in it is the same (or incredibly close) to the music that was used on the popular website Club Penguin during the "Waddle On Water Party."
April 6 2008: April BB2.0 Are Shipping !
I've been seeing people with the April 2.0s in the Beanie Land chat rooms and in-hand pics on eBay. One thing that I've noticed also is that occasionally the animated Beanies freeze up and then move again.

April 3 2008: AWESOME NEW BB2.0 WEBSITE !
Animax has revamped the BB2.0 website ! The new BB2.0 have been added and THREE new areas are open ! These include the Range (Africa style), Iceburg Isle (ice themed), and the Jungle. There is also a new GENERAL STORE !!!
This new style website is set-up very similar to the Ty Girlz website, which is a good thing. The old version of the BB2.0 site wasn't as well developed as it could have been. The Ty Girlz site was much better and hopefully having this style will bring in more people.
The first BB2.0s that retired are Fluffball and Rascal as well.

Cindysbeans shares that a new Kentucky Derby horse is being sold at the Kentucky Derby Store. Two versions are offered, one has a pink saddle and the other has a blue saddle. They are regular Beanies, not BB2.0
They will probably be introduced with the April 2008 introductions.

You can talk about Beanies, Ty Girlz, or anything else that you'd like ! I will be monitoring it everyday to make sure that everything is going smoothly. March 19 2008: BB2.0 Website Updates
The BB2.0 website got some MUCH NEEDED adjustments on March 17th. The games are now running more smoothly and all of the "helper Beanies" have been taken out of the beanstalk. The different chat area signs have been added to the actual game page as well. The chat has been changed to allow users to type in state names. When you log in, if your Beanie hasn't been fed it will go into a slum mood until the hunger meter is full. Also, the cursor turns into a hand when it loves over something that can be clicked (before, it just stayed an arrow).
March 18 2008: Major Website Updates
Today I made a lot of adjustments to my website. I'm trying something new with this news page that will hopefully lower the amount of advertisements. I have no control over the ad's placed on my website and the most that I can do to get rid of them is to lower the amount of them.
The SIU Academy is also near-finished. I just need to add different profiles about people and add more Beanies to the list. If you have any ideas for people or Beanies that I can add to the Academy please email me.
You might also have noticed that the pages were moved around that that I have a new header subtitle. Hopefully these won't change too much in the future.
Today is St. Patrick's Day ! Bust out those clovers and green t-shirts... it's time to celebrate !

PattiBuddy from TyTalk has discovered that Love to Mom's BB2.0 game is called "Flower Power" and Motherly's game is called "Balancing Bear." You can view these for yourself by clicking on 'Quick Links' and navigating to the Shade Arcade games.

New updates to the Ty Homepage also... Ty added a link to the BBOT and Store Locator at the top along with a new Ty Girlz video (which was uploaded to YouTube a while back). There's also a new feature called "Talk 2 Ty" where you can submit suggestions for Ty (possibly to improve the websites and let people give feedback on new Beanies ?).
: Updated Videos Page I've updated my videos page to now include playlists that feature Beanies 2.0, Ty Girlz, and all other Ty Videos. I've also changed the name of it to "YouTube and Videos". The page is still under 'construction' so it'll take a couple days to complete.

PS: Today is the 29th of February ! It only comes around once every four years. Also this year, citizens of the USA will decide a new president and the Olympics will take place in Beijing, China. Will we get a Lefty and Righty 2008 ? Will there be any Beanie for the Olympics ? Keep your eyes open !
