***SPOILERS for Upcoming Ty news***
For those who have seen the Halloween introductions for this year, you've probably noticed that there is only 1 BB2.0 and three non-BB2.0 (excluding Dora and Spongebob). This pretty much confirmed that Ty is bringing back the 1.0 style Beanies .
How exciting is this!! So many people became upset and left when the change was made to 2.0 but now we can have both! Ty is obviously trying to regain their lost collecters by finally giving them what they've asked for.
Judging by the preview of the Halloween introduction, it looks like each month we will get a couple BB2.0 and a couple 1.0 (with an occasional exclusive). This is how it should have been from the start. Collecters get the same lovable Beanies they wanted while new collecters get the online fun they want.
Another guess, but Ty might have to cut down on the number of new Beanies and products each month. Keeping two collections running along with two interactive sites costs a lot of money, and to go back to 20 new Beanies a month would be a giant stress.
This introduction only has four new Beanies, one new Classic, two new Pluffies, and six new Halloweenie Beanies. The rest are all old plushes being re-sold. I have nothing against this, I actually think it's great marketing.
So it will definantly be fun to see how things unfold over the summer and into th fall. We are currently waiting for the BB2.0 site to become 3D and for the July introductions. One thing is for sure- things are going to become more interesting!
Disney is one of the world's largest money-making companies and if Ty were to make Disney Beanies they could possibly boost sales. Ty would even have connections through Animax.
But one reason they might not be able to is because Ty already has Nickelodeon Beanies and might not want to play favorites. Another could be that Disney has ties with Build-a-Bear, who's now going virtual.

I activated my lefty and Righty (2008) today and got to see what they had to offer. I like how Lefty is animated, it's very well done and very donkey-like.
I think that Righty could use some minor changes. There seems to be a dark red "mask" that goes across his face. If that's taken off, it would look a lot better IMO.
People in the chat rooms also seem to really like Righty. Whenever I went into a chat rooms the first thing people would say to me is "you're cool!" I also got an occasional "wow." Great job, animaters!!
